Each year, the OIA recognizes the achievements, hard work, and dedication of its members at our annual OIA Holiday Banquet held in December.  

DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE OF AWARD

The Investigator of the Year Award is given to a member who demonstrates significant involvement in professional organizations related to investigations and exemplary work in their profession.  The recipient of this award must be nominated.  The nomination requires a letter describing the nominee's achievements.

CRITERIA AND NOMINATION PROCESS

The nominee for the Investigator of the Year Award must be a regular member in good standing of the Association. The nomination must be in writing, submitted by someone with knowledge of the nominee, and may include but is not limited to:

1.  Significant involvement in professional organizations related to investigations, including offices held, committee membership and presentations.

2.  Exemplary case work through management, creativity, size or beneficial outcome (specific examples required).

3.  Development of tools, techniques, or technologies to enhance the investigatory field (include appropriate examples).

A letter not more than 500 words describing the nominee's achievements should be sent with supporting materials to the Ohio Investigators Association - ATTN. Awards Comm., 77 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

The nominations will be reviewed by the OIA Executive Staff.  The award will be announced at the OIA Annual Banquet in December.  If there are any questions, please contact an OIA Officer.
